Remembering Patrice Lumumba – follow-up post
After I posted a link to this New York Times editorial by Adam Hochshild commemorating the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Patrice Lumumba, the first democratically-elected leader of the DRC, I went looking for a recent interview with the author online.

This week marked the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Congolese liberation hero Patrice Lumumba, who was tortured and killed on 17 January 1961.
