With the upfront proviso that  I haven’t seen any of it yet, a new series airs tonight on SABC 3 featuring IJR patron Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu!

This is how the SABC describes the show:

“South Africans young and old have over the years fallen in love with his charming personality, his unedited views on the state of our nation and his quirky sense of humour. This Tuesday the 1st of February, The Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu will take on a new exciting role that will allow South Africans to see their land through his eyes.

The South African Story with Archbishop Desmond Tutu launches this Tuesday, 1st February, at 20:00 on SABC3. In this series viewers will be taken on a journey with The Arch across all the nine provinces – from Mpumalanga’s dizzying heights of God’s Window to the banks of the Limpopo River in the North East.  This nine part doccie will also reflect on the nation’s struggles and celebrate our emergence as Africa’s gateway – covering South Africa’s beautiful history, culture, destinations and politics.

Tune in every Tuesday evening at 20:00 from the 1st of February and discover your land with The Arch.”

If you get a chance to watch this evening, send us your thoughts and feedback tomorrow!
