Interview with Albie Sachs

Posted on January 31, 2011. Filed under: Reconciliation Award |

In August of last year, the IJR’s annual Reconciliation Award went to lifelong activist, writer and former constitutional court judge Albie Sachs. In the lead-up to the award ceremony, filmmaker Jo Higgs interviewed Sachs about reconciliation, ‘soft vengeance’ and the hardship and joy of South Africa’s transition to democracy. An article published in the SA Reconciliation Barometer newsletter and based on her interviews is available here, and the full interview is now available to watch below!
