The IJR will be hosting a Public Dialogue on 11 November at 17h30 for 18h00, on:

Batons or Ballots? Pursuing active citizenship and an interactive state

The Dialogue will feature a panel discussion chaired by Mr. Hennie van Vuuren of the Institute for Security Studies, and the following speakers:

Advocate Tseliso Thipanyane, CEO, South African Human Rights Commission
Advocate Mamiki Shai, Deputy Public Protector
Dr. Ralph Mgijima, Chairperson, Public Service Commission
Professor Kader Asmal, University of the Western Cape

The Dialogue will be held at the Townhouse Hotel, 60 Corporation Street, Cape Town. Secure private parking is also available in Corporation Street.
